Anheuser-Busch InBev NV is launching a tequila-flavored beer in the U.S. called Oculto aimed at young consumers of drinking age who increasingly opt for liquor and Mexican beers. Oculto, which will debut next spring, is made with blue agave, the same plant used to make tequila, and blended with beer that has been aged with wood from Mexican tequila barrels. It doesn’t contain tequila, but is flavored by it. It will have 6% alcohol content, higher than the 4% to 5% typically in U.S. beers.
