Core Tip: Malaysian snacks and candies manufacturer Cocoaland has rejected $104.47m acquisition offer from Navis Asia Fund saying that the bid is not in the best interest of its directors.
Navis Asia VII Management has offered to acquire all of Cocoaland's assets and liabilities, on behalf of Navis Asia Fund VII.

Cocoaland currently operates three manufacturing facilities in Kampar, Kepong and Rawang.

The investment holding company manufactures and trades processed and preserved foods, fruits, and other food stuffs in Malaysia and China.

The company primarily offers chocolates, hard candies, fruit gums, cookies, wafers, snacks, soft drinks, wafer rolls, peas, nuts, jelly cups, snacks, and crackers.

Last month, Cocoaland said it is in talks with Swedish private equity group EQT for a possible take over of the company by the latter.
