Core Tip: A new whisky by William Grant and Sons just released in Australia may appeal to a wide range of new customers.
The product ‘Cruinnich’ will be sold exclusively in Australia and is claimed to be made with Australia’s own whisky tastes in mind.

The product Cruinnich was created by William Grant and Son’s Master Blender Brian Kinsman along with five Australian competition winners who were invited to the company’s distilleries in Scotland. They helped make the drink by choosing malts, casks and whiskies from the William Grant and Son vaults.

The 21 year old beverage contains flavours including dry fruits, spices and vanilla oak. There are to be only 4 900 bottles available for purchase in Australia.

It is the second liquor to be introduced into William Grant and Son’s ‘Rare Cask Reserve Collection’. The first was its ‘Ghost Reserve’. The ‘Ghost Reserve’ was made from whiskeys made in distilleries that are no longer operating. The whiskey differentiates from Cruinnich as it has a more oaky taste and is a more oily beverage.

William Grant and Sons are a Scottish liquor company. They own a variety of brands including Hendrick’s Gin, Glenfiddich and Grant’s. They are the third biggest maker of Scotch-Whisky worldwide.

Cruinnich is available at Dan Murphy stores nationwide and has a recommended retail price of $180 for a 700mL bottle.
