The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Agency for Export Promotion and Investments (Apex-Brazil), is participating in the Chinese trade fair in Shanghai on 10-12 June.
ABPA is trying to find new business with Chinese importers present at the fair, by marketing Brazilian eggs, chicken and pork. There is room for expansion of exports after an announcements that seven more poultry plants and one pig plant had qualified to send exports to China.
The coordinator of Commercial Promotion of ABPA, Isis Sardella, and the assistant of the area, Nayara Dalmolin, will be distributing promotional materials in Mandarin from their exclusive stand at the fair.
As part of ABPA's mission in China, the vice president of its poultry sector, Ricardo Santin, will attend a series of meetings with Chinese officials and leaders of local producers and consumers.
"This action in the Chinese market will be critical at this time.
"Today, with 29 qualified poultry plants, we can maintain an average flow of 24 tons per month, which should increase exponentially with new commitments," said Mr Santin.
The FMA China 2015 is one of the largest Chinese trade of meat, fish and food in general.
