Quorn Foods has recalled Chef's Selection Meat Free Beef Steaks as they may contain wheat (gluten), barley (gluten) and milk which are not mentioned on the packaging, according to the UK Food Standards Agency.
The recalled product is 180g Quorn Chef's Selection Meat Free Beef Steaks bearing Batch codes 705081 and 705118 with best before end December 2016 and January 2017 respectively.
In addition to recalling, the company has sent point-of-sale notices which will be displayed in stores where the affected product was sold.
Consumption of the recalled product may cause possible health risk in people allergic or intolerant to wheat gluten, barley gluten and milk.
Customers are advised not to consume the recalled product and instead return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
