In the following years, our country will manage to become one of the ten largest exporters of food in the world due to the strength of its national organic products and because the world demands healthier food, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Magali Silva announced.
She said the international gastronomic fair Mistura showcases the country to the world as it engages with tourism, which can go hand in hand with gastronomy.
“In the next years Peru will be one of the ten largest exporters of food; the world is demanding healthier food. Taking into consideration the need of more fresh vegetables and fruits, we have enhanced our image and we now seek to attract gastronomic tourism,” she added.
Silva explained that other countries are studying the "Peruvian Miracle" to articulate the entire productive chain and approaches applied by the State.
“The first step is to declare Mistura as national interest, as it is an inclusive and growth-producing tool,” she told RPP.
