Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed that the total value of the country's fruit and vegetable exports in May amounted to 1.5 billion pounds, compared to 1.8 billion pounds during the same month last year.
The value of fresh orange exports increased to 425.3 million pounds, compared with 373.2 during the same month last year; the value of frozen vegetable exports also increased to 103.8 million pounds, compared to 88.6 million pounds in 2014.
Meanwhile, the value of Egypt's fresh fruit exports dropped to 512.8 million pounds during the month of May, compared to 761.8 million pounds during the same month last year; the value of potato exports also dropped, falling to 280.5 million pounds, compared to 429.9 million pounds last year.
