Export volume of agricultural products from Japan to Asian countries has increased by 40% to 18 billion Japanese yen in the first six months of 2015.
Fruit export alone increased with 73% to 7.2 billion Japanese yen. The Japanese government has planned to double fruit export by 2020.
Export of strawberries increased by 240% to 315 tons. Export of apples increased by 70% to 14,000 tons. Export to Taiwan has increased by 20% compared to last year.
