Some of Africa's nations said on Wednesday that they would like to adopt the Indian methods of agriculture to help improve theirs.
The nations also suggested adopting India's 'Make in India' programme, having a 'Make in Africa' program as well. "We should have joint research and development programmes to understand Indian methods of agriculture for the improvement of agriculture in Africa." said Fiffi Fiavi, Ghana's Minister for Food and Agriculture, as he believes it will help to increase productivity and build a bond between the nations.
Africa wants to use modern technology like balance farming, micro irrigation, hybrid seeds and tissue culture to help improve their agriculture. In India around 5 million farmers are using these techniques.
