VOG attended the International Fruit and Vegetable Trade Show, Fruit Attraction, in Madrid this year. It was at Fruit Attraction that VOG celebrated the 20 year anniversary of Marlene apples. This brand was introduced on the Italian market in 1995 and has been available on the Spanish market since 2007.
Today Marlene apples includes eight different apple varieties: Royal Gala, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Fuji, Stayman, Winesap and Braeburn. Although each variety has its own taste and color, they all have the same blue sticker and the PGI brand that guarantees that the apples come from South Tyrol, Italy. In the Netherlands and Belgium Aartsenfruit is in charge of distributing Marlene apples.
