Brazil presented Frutas do Brasil, which reflects the attributes of Brazilian agriculture, as part of the seventh edition of Fruit Attraction, the International Fair of Fruit and Vegetables held by IFEMA between October 28 and 30.

Brazil has increased its presence at the fair and has a much bigger stand compared to the rest of the exhibitors who come from Latin America. This shows the great interest that the Brazilian market has for establishing new business relations with the European Union and more specifically with Spain. Brazil was the first Latin American country to participate in Fruit Attraction, which strengthens relationships with Spanish companies.

Brazil is the third largest producer of fruit in the world. "Brazil exports 650 million dollars worth of fruit a year and Chile, which has a much smaller geographical area, exports seven times more than us. Brazil has a great potential and fairs like this can help people value what we do," stated the CEO of Frutas do Brazil while presenting the brand.

The Business Development & Project Manager of Frutas do Brazil, Helio Lobo, said that, "Despite being a very large country, Brazil only exports 3% of its agricultural production. Brazilian production is destined mainly for domestic consumption. In 2014 our exports amounted to 670 million dollars, but we want to double that amount by 2020."

Brazil produces apples, avocados, bananas, grapes, lemons, limes, mangoes, melons, oranges, tangerines, watermelons, and papayas, among other fruits.
