Preliminary figures from the Norwegian Statistics Central Bureau for the third quarter of 2015 show that imports from Israel reached a value of NOK 753 million (80.51 million Euro); an increase of 18.6 percent compared to last year. The total value of Israeli imports throughout 2014 was of NOK 875 million (93.55 million Euro).

As far as fruit and vegetables are concerned, Israeli exports to Norway so far this year have reached a value of 122.1 million crowns (13.05 million Euro), which represents an increase of 10.5 million (1.12 million Euro) compared to 2014, which is interesting considering that there have been a number of boycotts against such goods.

"The increased import of Israeli goods is very good news and completely in line with our expectations. We are sure this figure will only increase in the coming years," stated Dag R. Abrahamsen, head of the Norwegian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce.

He believes that the reason for the growth is quite simple. "Consumers are finding that Israel delivers quality products at all levels, and that it is a country which is constantly bringing new innovations. The boycott has never been official Norwegian foreign policy and probably never will be."
