US-based personal beverage system provider Keurig Green Mountain has launched Green Mountain Coffee Coffeehouse, a new range of beverages that are made on the lines of cappuccinos, lattes, and macchiatos at cafes.

The new line of products enables customers to make café-style frothed beverages at home in a two-step process. All they have to do is take the froth packet contents into a mug and brew the K-Cup pod. These beverages are made with Fair Trade Certified coffee, sugar, skim milk, cream and sea salt and contain no artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors or preservatives.

Coffeehouse is available in three flavours - Cappuccino, Salted Caramel Macchiato and Vanilla Latte.

Keurig Green Mountain US Hot Beverages senior vice president Tom Ferguson said: "Green Mountain Coffee takes pride in its roots as a local Vermont roaster and coffee shop that created distinctively delicious coffee house beverages.

"With the new Green Mountain Coffee Coffeehouse collection, we drew on that longstanding coffee expertise and the innovation of Keurig simplicity to create the barista experience you love, at home, at the touch of a button."

The new Green Mountain Coffee Coffeehouse collection is available in 9-count boxes of K-Cup pods and froth packets for $11.99 on the company's website.

This collection is an addition to over 575 different beverages and 80 odd brands in the Keurig Green Mountain family.

Earlier this year, the company launched a countertop pod machine to make carbonated drinks at home, a move to offset the decline in its core business of single-serve coffee pods and brewers and wrest marketshare from rival SodaStream.

The $369.99 machine has been positioned differently from other carbonated and cold brew machines as it can produce carbonated drink without the use of carbon dioxide canister. The home soda fountain works with Kold Pods, which costs between $4.49 and $4.99.
