The Multisectoral Commission of the National Strategic Exports Plan unanimously approved the PENX 2015, as announced by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), Magali Silva.
"The PENX 2025 seeks to maintain the multisectoral long-term planning practices that started with the PENX 2003-2013, 85% of which was implemented during its term," said the head of Mincetur.
In that sense, the PENX 2025 is based on four pillars organised in 15 lines of action and 93 programs to be implemented over the next ten years: company internationalization and diversification of international markets; development of a diversified, competitive and sustainable export supply; trade facilitation and supply chain efficiency; and expansion of the capacity for internationalization and the consolidation of an export culture.
Within the pillar of internationalization of companies and diversification of international markets, the Minister highlighted the program intended to help strengthen the Overseas Commercial Offices (OCEX).
The focus is also in the development of service export businesses and in the expansion of the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE 2.0), which will make it possible to optimise the procedures needed for trade to take place.
Another aspect of the new strategic plan that the Minister considers worthy to note is the technical support from the World Bank.
