The Finex Separator accurately grades reusable chocolate brownie pieces into two fractions.
Recovery and reprocessing is essential for any process line to ensure product wastage is minimised.
A client requested a test to grade chocolate brownie pieces into two fractions. With more than 80 years of experience in liquid and solid separation technology, Russell Finex engineers chose to use the Finex Separator, a market leading vibrating round separator.
Installed with a single deck and 2mm mesh screen, fines and oversized chocolate brownie pieces can be obtained allowing for reuse of the two cuts with a throughput rate of 160 kg/hr.
However, this extremely versatile grading separator can provide five highly accurate product fractions for both wet and dry materials. Operators can scale production up and down, achieving maximum throughput rates of up to 10t/hr.
Due to the rubber suspension of this round separator, transmission of vibration to the mesh is higher than in spring mounted grading sieves providing higher screening capacities.
In addition, the rubber suspension means the operating noise level is down to 69dBA, much lower than traditional spring mounted separators.
Using a standard electric motor provides operating speeds of 1,800rpm, which also enhances the performance of the separator.
The Finex Separator provides both accurate grading and separation in one operation.
