Nanyang Zhongde Agriculture has recently invested 18 million Yuan in a vegetable demonstration base in Henan Province in the South of China. The project was launched in October 2014 and first seedlings were planted in January 2015. Now the first crop is ready for harvesting. Main products are Chinese cabbage and broccoli, among a selection of other seasonal vegetables. A large part of the crop is destined for export to Hong Kong.

Harvest vegetables are transported with cooled transport and placed in controlled atmosphere storage facilities. Part of the crop is directly exported to Hong Kong via the port of Shenzhen. Currently, one truck a day is being exported. In the future the company aims to export 9,500 tons a year to Hong Kong.
