Hunan citrus have good quality for a small price. There is a strong complementarity between Russian traditional fruits and fruits from warmer climates. Due to limitations of preservation technologies, transportation and storage costs, it is only until recent years Hunan citruses are transported to Russia, the Far East and Siberia. Through Manzhouli port the Hunan citrus cross thousands of miles to seize the Russian markets. It is a new opportunity for Chinese fruit and vegetables.
