Australian winemaker Casella Wines has acquired Brand's Laira business and winery, based in Coonawarra district in South Australia, from McWilliam's Wines.
The deal, which includes the purchase of the Brand's Laira Winery, Cellar Door and brand IP, follows the acquisition of Peter Lehmann Wines by Casella for $57m in 2014.
The company has not disclosed financial terms of the deal.
However, managing director John Casella expects to raise the total case sales for the Coonawarra brand to around 250,000 cases from present 70,000 over the next ten years, reported The Sydney Morning Herald.
McWilliam's Wines chief executive Rob Blackwell was quoted by The Australian as saying: "The sale of Brand's was a very difficult decision to make but is consistent with our objective of focusing resources on growing our core stable of brands namely McWilliam's, Evans & Tate and Mount Pleasant."
John Casella added: "The acquisition perfectly complements our premium range of wines, extending our portfolio to include a reputable brand that represents the regional excellence of the Coonawarra.
"I believe we are well positioned to build on the investment McWilliam's Wines has made in Brand's Laira in the domestic and international markets, in particular by showcasing the excellent Cabernet Sauvignon wines for which the region and the brand are famous."
