Demargro recently had a new box designed for marketing leeks. According to Guy de Meyer, more and more complaints were coming in about the packaging, "Various customers had commented on the quality of the new Flandria packaging for leeks. So we decided to have a high quality, sturdy box designed for us."
Attractive box
Guy says that the new box is meant to act as a guarantee of quality for the customers, "With the new box we can ensure that the leeks will arrive in an orderly manner. We chose an attractive box, which gives the leeks a nice appearance. The leeks that are packaged in these boxes must meet the highest quality standards so that our customers can continuously count on a high quality product."
8,500 tons of leeks
Along with the leeks in the boxes, Demargro also sells the entire range of leeks in different packaging. We can package the leeks in wood, EPF and IFCO crates. We also have our own net bags, in which we can pack various weights. Leeks remain an important product for Demargro, "This year we sold 8,500 tons of leeks to just about every country in Europe. In addition to leeks, DEMARGRO BVBA has all the other Flandria products. We also sell various fruits throughout the year, including apples, pears and strawberries."
