Austin-based vodka company Deep Eddy Vodka has added a new product, Deep Eddy Peach Vodka
Deep Eddy Peach Vodka will be available at retail outlets from February and come with a suggested retail price of $19.99 for 750ml bottle. The drink is claimed to be gluten-free and includes natural flavours such as real peaches, examiner.com reports.
The vodka is claimed to go well with ginger ale, iced tea and lemonade. It has been hand-made by Clayton Christopher and Chad Auler. It is created in a small distillery located in the outskirts of Austin. The drink has been made using water, filtration and distillation methods.
Distilled 10 times in a 20 column still, Deep Eddy Vodka products are filtered over charcoal four times with local ingredients, reports examiner.com.
The other flavours include Straight Vodka, Lemon, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Cranberry and Sweet Tea.
Deep Eddy Vodka marketing vice president Brandon Cason was quoted by The Spirits Business as saying: "Peach is a classic American flavour and has seen a resurgence in cocktails over the past few years. We worked on Deep Eddy Peach for more than a year to ensure we capture the flavor of real peaches in a way that enables both simple mixology at home and complex cocktails for advanced bartenders.
"We pride ourselves in creating simpler, more natural products that cocktail drinkers love and Deep Eddy Peach offers yet another way to add pure flavours to spring and summer cocktails."
Launched in 2010, Deep Eddy's sales have grown to more than 700,000 cases since then.
This brand was purchased by Elijah Craig Bourbon producer Heaven Hill in 2015, reports The Spirits Business.
