Bulgarian organic producers have attended the latest edition of the exhibition FoodExpo 2016, which was held in the peninsula of Jutland, Denmark, between 6 and 8 March. Interest in organic products and organic production in Denmark is currently very high and the country, in fact, aims to become the first 100% organic country by 2020.
A total of 18 Bulgarian producers attended the exhibition and the strongest interest was shown in their fresh fruits and vegetables, preserves, jams and organic juices.
Besides these, the Bulgarian stand also featured other traditional products, including honey, herbs, wine and cheese. Bulgarian nuts also attracted quite a bit of attention from foreign visitors and the Bulgarian Association of Organic products (BAB) reported a considerable number of requests for rose and lavender oil exports.
