California-based frozen food manufacturer Pegasus Foods has announced plans to expand its operations into Texas, US.
The firm intends to set up a new 80,000ft² manufacturing facility in Rockwall, Texas. This move is expected to create 325 new jobs.
"Texas offers room to grow, and I look forward to welcoming even more businesses from California."
The announcement of the new Rockwall project, which will see a $10m investment, was made by Texas governor Greg Abbott.
Abbott was quoted by CBS DFW as saying: "Once again, a California company has decided there is no better place to grow and operate a business than the Lone Star State.
"Less government, lower taxes, smarter regulations and right-to-work laws create an economic framework that allows free enterprise to flourish and attracts employers to our large cities and small towns.
