The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, introduced a new varietal to its Simply brand of juice drinks. Simply Orange Low Acid, which provides a smooth taste with less acid, the company says.
Simply Orange Low Acid is a 100 percent pure-squeezed, reduced-acid orange juice with calcium. Like the other Simply Orange varieties, the new addition to the juice lineup is not sweetened, concentrated or frozen, and there are no added preservatives, colors or artificial flavors, it adds.
“Consumers have been asking us for a reduced acid option, so the launch of Simply Orange Low Acid is in direct response to those requests. We are proud to share Simply Orange Low Acid with those who appreciate a smooth taste that’s the next best thing to fresh-squeezed,” said Allison Higbie, vice president of marketing at Simply Beverages, in a statement.
The low acid variety will roll out on store shelves nationwide in April and will be packaged in 59-ounce, multi-serve carafes that feature The Coca-Cola Co.’s PlantBottle packaging, the company says.
