In 2015, Polish exports of processed fruit and vegetables amounted to 937.4 thousand and nearly 917.5 thousand tonnes, respectively; higher than in 2014, when a total of 870.6 thousand tonnes of processed fruit and 852.5 thousand tonnes of processed vegetables were shipped, reports FAMMU/FAPA based on data from the Ministry of Finance.
As every year, the biggest importer of Polish processed fruit and vegetables were other EU countries, which received 786.2 thousand tonnes of processed fruit and 673.3 thousand tonnes of vegetables. The export of processed fruits, like every year, was dominated by fruit juices and frozen food, with 473.7 thousand and a little under 364.0 thousand tonnes, respectively.
Out of all Polish juices, the most exported was apple juice concentrate, with 356.5 thousand tonnes. Meanwhile, the most exported processed vegetables were frozen vegetables, with a total of 450.0 thousand tonnes, and processed potatoes, with a little under 159.0 thousand tonnes.
