On Wednesday 30 March, orange juice prices ended at a near three-month high, as technical traders pushed the contract above a key resistance level.
Frozen concentrated orange juice futures for May delivery rose 3.7% to end at $1.418 a pound on the ICE Futures U.S. Exchange, the highest since Jan. 6. The most active contract has risen 12% so far this month.
Florida has been struggling with a dramatically reduced crop because of citrus greening disease, however, demand for orange juice is also waning, which should put a lid on higher prices.
