Algeria-based snack maker Maravilla has increased its production capacity by 25% through the deployment of personalised, high-performance solutions from tna.
The Algerian company has achieved its goals by replacing the existing manual process with automated and upgraded conveying systems.
The collaboration has helped Maravilla use nine tna roflo high-throw vibratory conveyors (roflo VM3) and three mini feeders into its potato or corn pellet line.
The company has also replaced its existing control systems with the latest tna technologies.
Maravilla managing director Mohamed Abdesselam said: "With the support of tna and the installation of its complete integration systems on our production line, we have been able to reduce process inefficiencies and simplify our operations, while maximising productivity."
To increase its productivity, the snack manufacturer used tna's high-performance vibratory conveyor providing a unique throw pattern, along with installing a new reaction base design combined with intelligent microprocessor that would lend a greater stroke length at a lower frequency.
tna's roflo VM3 does not include any metal-to-metal bacteria build-up area.
The conveyor trays are completely welded that reduces the risk of contamination, while the additional components can easily be removed to be cleaned everyday.
The tna conveying equipment in roflo VM3 is made from food grade stainless-steel, which has several moving parts where food can become trapped, thereby facilitating the cleaning process.
Maravilla has also installed three customised mini-feeders provided by tna that would allow a smooth product transfer between systems.
These mini-feeders are able to monitor pellet levels through optical sensors, thereby maintaining the quality levels of the products.
The systems are designed to minimise stoppages and increase simultaneous transmission between several components of the production line, thereby increasing the company's production capacity.
With an aim to optimise its production line efficiencies in order to address output targets, tna has also developed a fully integrated control system across the company's production line.
Using a combination of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems and sensors, operators at Maravilla are able to control the speed at which the product is transmitted from the feeder into the fryer, as well as the maximum frying temperature.
They can as well manage the operation of the seasoning system.
