The Danper company became Peru's first agricultural industry to export fresh green asparagus to Shanghai, China, after having passed rigorous audits by the National Service of Agrarian Health (Senasa) and China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
"This is the first shipment scheduled within the framework of the commitments established with major players in the Chinese market with which Danper has close trade relations," the company stated.
The audits to allow exports to China focused on prevention and phytosanitary control both in the fields and in the processing plant, the company said.
During 2015, Danper exported 130 million dollars in fresh asparagus, canned, frozen, Andean grains, and ready to eat products.
