Fruit-Inform reports that Crimean sellers were forced to reduce their Chinese cabbage prices over the weekend due to the worsening quality of the product connected to its storage and the lack of demand for it.
Now prices vary between RUB 70-80/kg (USD 1.01-1.15/kg) at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, a fall of 30-33% compared with the end of the previous week, when the produce was offered at RUB 90/kg (USD 1.30/kg) and higher.
It should be noted that prices have also fallen by 25% year-on-year in Crimea, and the sector experts expect negative price trends to remain in effect due to the worsening quality of produce.
