The data, which were presented during a seminar called "Egyptian exports to the Russian market - Opportunities and Challenges", revealed that the most important fruits for the export sector were oranges, grapes and strawberries.

Meanwhile, the value of Egypt's total fresh vegetable exports to the Russian market was estimated at 165.99 million US dollars, accounting for 40% of the country's total exports to the Russian market. Some of the most important products were potatoes, onions, garlic and tomatoes.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Russian investments in Egypt are estimated at 62.77 million dollars, with a total of 408 Russian companies involved; Russia ranked 47th among the greatest investors in Egypt.

The statistics agency said that, according to data from the Central Bank of Russia, Egypt's total volume of investments in Russia amounted to US $ 9 million and concentrated mostly in the field of export and import.
