Representatives of the Moroccan Port of Tangier recently participated in a meeting between representatives of Mediterranean ports held in the French city of Perpignan. The main goal was to discuss ways of improving the transport of fruit and vegetables in the Mediterranean region and to guarantee quick access to such products from the Mediterranean south to northern Europe, while preserving their freshness and quality.
The meeting counted with the participation of representatives of the three French ports of Marseille, the port of Barcelona and the Italian port of Civitavecchia, Rome. They acknowledged the need to create solid links and ties from 2017, the year in which the participants agreed to improve the kinetics in the transport of fruit and vegetable goods.
