In the evening on May 30th, three college students had a dinner in Beijing “XiabuXiabu” Hot Pot Restaurant and all of them showed symptoms of vomiting and low fever, etc., during the meal. The person in charge of “Xiabu” indicated that they may pay the medical expenses thereof. The concrete reasons are still under investigation. The food and drug department in Haidian district declared that no problem has temporarily been found after inspection to the restaurant involved.
Reminder for safety consumption of “Zongzi” at Dragon Boat Festival

During Dragon Boat Festival, “Zongzi” is in high consumption, so China Food and Drug Administration organized a special sampling inspection to “Zongzi”; after inspection, commercial sterilization is not up to standard and the sweetening agents including acesulfame and saccharin sodium, etc., have been detected. China Food and Drug Administration remind the consumers to have a purchase via proper channels, save the shopping receipts, make out the packaging label and go on preservation and processed consumption as the label directed.
