In view of the problems found in recent sampling inspection, CFDA issues the scientific interpretation on “colorants”. The rational use of “colorants” according to the regulations of standards will not cause harm to human health; for the existing phenomenon that “colorants” are used beyond food scope and limited level, high attention shall be given. Experts suggest that: (a) Food production enterprises shall strictly abide by the relevant standards and regulations. (2) The supervision department shall strengthen their efforts in supervising such phenomenon that “colorants” are used beyond food scope and limited level.
