Core Tip: Can you still grow salads, tomatoes and other green vegetables without soil, pesticides and fertilizer?
Can you still grow salads, tomatoes and other green vegetables without soil, pesticides and fertilizer? It can be done with a technology called soilless cultivation. Aquagreen Valley, with its headquarters in Hong Kong, now uses seeds from the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan to plant in Huidong. On 26 June, Mrs. Crompvoets, the Dutch Consul General, and Mrs. Ruigrok, the Consul General in Hong Kong, visited the production facility of Aquagreen in Huidong. There, they tried green production, which is also sold to Starbucks and Disney. Simultaneously, they learned more about soilless cultivation. It was a very interesting visit. We are looking forward to working with them, and to attract more Dutch green vegetables.
