Ghana's Export Promotion Authority has revealed that the country's export earnings from the processed, and semi-processed sub-sector in 2015 saw a decline of 2.27%.

In 2015, the value of the sub-sector amounted to USD 2,120.50 million compared to USD 2,169.56 million earned in 2014.

The decline according to the Authority was due to the low performances of some key products such as cocoa paste, natural rubber sheets and aluminum plates, sheets and oil.

Freshly cut fruit reduced by 3.11% in 2015, compared to 2014.

Meanwhile, Ghana's biggest export partner, the European Union saw a decline of 5.45% in 2015, as it recorded 9 million dollars in 2015, as compared to 2014's 9.5 million.
