Agroindustry Advanced Technologies Spa (AAT) was created in 1998 from the separation of the agroindustrial activities of Agriculture Industrial Development Spa (AID), founded by Salvatore Torrisi (photo below) in 1969 when he came back to Europe after his post-doctorate at the Citrus Research Center in California. Torrisi specialised in the most advanced citrus fruit cultivation and processing techniques and studied the marketing activities and commercial organisation of Sunkist.

AAT is located in the Catania industrial area, with two other branches in Italy (Rome and Milan) and a branch-office in the US.

AAT machinery, sold under the Oranfresh® brand, is manufactured in Catania, where technicians assemble the entire juicer line. Quality control is guaranteed as every single unit is tested.

The company's experience in the various aspects of agricultural, industrial, biotechnological and robotic activities make the R&D department a real source of innovation.

At the moment, AAT exports to over 60 countries worldwide, including China, United States, Australia, Japan, Russia, the Middle and Far East and Europe. In Italy, AAT's products are available in the over 700 Autogrill service stations and in many other locations with over 5,000 units. The company recently signed an agreement with McDonald's® Italy for the distribution of automatic juicers in over 120 McCafès®.

Genuineness, freshness and simplicity are the adjectives that characterise Oranfresh® juicers, which make healthy, natural, squeezed juice with a high vitamin content. The brand meets the needs of the vending sector especially in foreign supermarkets and for H&R, and in every context where fresh neutraceutical products are considered very important.

Thanks to the growing trend, focusing on healthy eating, the consumption of fruit and vegetables during meals and breaks is increasing.

Another range are self-cleaning vending machines, perfect for shopping malls, airports, hospitals, schools, etc. They are completely automated and work with both change and credit cards.

Fruit juices and fresh-squeezed juices are particularly popular. However, many vitamins become inactive in pasteurised juices and have to be replaced with synthetic ones, especially vitamin C. Nothing can replace a freshly squeezed juice.

Our leading machines are juicers for supermarkets all over the world. This version enables bottling, so the product can also be taken home.

Over the past few years, AAT also developed an apple juicer range. The machine can obtain juice from fresh apples in just a few seconds. The result is very refreshing and rich in vitamins.

The fresh apple juicer is an extremely interesting solution, both for producers - who can diversify their business - and for consumers - who are now able to savour freshly-squeezed apple juice with no added water or sugar.
