Weekly Review of Food Standards and Regulations(0731-0804)

In order to further strengthen the link up of standard formulation, implementation and supervision, National Health and Family Planning Commission notified the catalogue of national food safety standards and the conclusion of the clean-up and integration of food-related standards, and among which the integration conclusion includes three lists as integration list of national food safety standards, list of standards suggested to be abolished timely and list of standards not included in the national food safety standard system.

Ministry of Agriculture issued Announcement No.2540 of Ministry of Agriculture and approved 87 standards of “Determination of chlorophyll in fruit, vegetables and their products Spectrophotometric method”, and will be implemented form October 1, 2017.

The standard exposure draft of national food safety standard “Rice” (GB/T1354) has been completed recently and is solicited public opinions now. The deadline for soliciting opinions is August 10, 2017.

AQSIQ issued 130 entry and exit inspection and quarantine industry standards as “Count method of total bacterial count, coliform, Fecal coliform and Escherichia coli in export beverages Hydrophobic grid filter membrane method”, etc., and will be implemented from March 1, 2018. The replaced standard shall be abolished form the implementation of the corresponding standards.

The standard exposure draft of national standards as “Grain and oil inspection Precision inspection of rice processing”, etc., has been completed recently and is solicited public opinions now. The deadline for soliciting opinions is August 15, 2017.

In order to do a good job in the “new formulation, revision, abolition and interpretation” work of legal system of food and drug supervision, comprehensively promote the administration according to law, the China Food and Drug Administration organized to conduct clean up on the relevant normative documents, and decided to abolish and announced the invalidation of the second batch of normative documents.

On July 31, 2017, the Supervision Department of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced the detailed rules of supervision and sampling inspection of three types of food-related products in 2017, including plastic food-related products, food contact paper and cardboard materials and their products and food machinery products.
