13 Whole Foods Market stores in the states of Arizona, California, and Nevada have recalled packages of “APPLE CINNAMON HAND PIES.” The U.S. Food & Drug Administration reports that these baked goods may contain eggs, which were not listed on the product labeling.

The hand pies affected by the recall were packaged in plastic containers stamped with the PLU number 23646100000 and “Best By” dates of October 15, 2017 or earlier. They were sold at stores in Phoenix, AZ, La Jolla, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Oxnard, CA, Sherman Oaks, CA, Thousand Oaks, CA, Torrance, CA, Venice, CA, Henderson, NV, and Las Vegas, NV.

People who are allergic to eggs run the risk of potentially life-threatening illness should they eat these hand pies. The packages should be either disposed of or returned to their place of purchase, along with a receipt, for a full refund.
