The USDA is issuing a public health alert about chicken products that were made by Productos Dany, Inc. of Hatillo, Puerto Rico. About 6,907 pounds of chicken products were recalled because they contain previously recalled ingredients. These foods were imported by the Trafon Group of Puerto Nuevo, Puerto Rico, but were not presented for FSIS re-inspeciton.
The previously recalled products are subject to FSIS Recall 123-2017, issued on November 16, 2017. Those products, which included Harvest Creek Chicken Franks, Olymel pork shoulder, Polean ham, frozen pork loins, and pork chops, were also not inspected.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to date. If anyone is concerned about an illness, they should contact a health care provider.
These not ready-to-eat chicken products were produced and packaged on various dates from October 30, 2017 through November 7, 2017. This problem was discovered when FSIS Inspection Program personnel were gathering distribution information for the previous recall.
The recalled products include 6.72-pound plastic wrapped cases containing 24-count of individually wrapped “Productos Dany Inc., Cheese Dog” with lot code(s) 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 309 or 310, and 9.10-pound plastic wrapped cases containing 24-count of individually wrapped “Productos Dany Inc. Doggie Pizza” with lot code(s) 302, 304, 305, 306, 309 or 310. These products have the establishment number “P-45932” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
If you bought any of these products, from the previous recall or from this public health alert, do not eat them, even if you are going to cook them. Throw them away in a sealed or double wrapped package so other people and animals can’t get at them, or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
