Packaging technology converts VFFS pillow packs into stand-up pouches

 Polymer Packaging, Massillon, Ohio, developed EZ Stand, a new technology to convert vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) pillow packs into stand-up pouches with or without zipper.

With EZ Stand, companies can form a bottom-gusset, stand-up pouch on existing equipment with only minor modifications to the sealing jaws, allowing for better filling speeds than pre-made pouch filling lines.

Polymer Packaging pre-applies the bottom gusset—and even a zipper if desired—to a printed film web to form conventional-style, stand-up pouches.
