Lesaffre has completed the acquisition of Gnosis for an undisclosed sum.

Based in France, Lesaffre is a manufacturer of yeast, while Gnosis is an Italian biotechnology company involved in the production and sale of fermentation-derived ingredients.

Gnosis will be integrated with Lesaffre Human Care, which supplies ingredients issued from yeast and bacteria fermentation.

The combined entity will offer various products and services to its customers and partners in the global nutrition and health segments.

Olymel has acquired Pinty’s Delicious Foods for an undisclosed price.

Olymel is a food processing company engaged in the production of pork and poultry products.

Founded in 1943, Pinty’s Delicious Foods is a poultry slaughtering and processing firm that supplies fully-cooked products.

Pinty’s will continue its operations as a separate business entity, as well as serve its existing customers and honour its supply agreements.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in Canada.

William Jackson Food Group has acquired Belazu for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 1851, William Jackson Food is a long-established family business with a portfolio of successful food businesses.

Belazu is a balsamic vinegar and premium olive oil brand. It also supplies high-quality authentic Mediterranean olives, antipasti, grains and pastes.

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the UK.

ArchPoint Group has completed the acquisition of Watusee Foods for an undisclosed price.

Based in the US, ArchPoint is a global professional services company, while Watusee Foods is a producer of snacks including Chickpea Crumbs, Chickpeatos and Popped Chickpeatos.

The acquisition forms part of Archpoint’s business strategy to invest in brands and assist them with cross-functional expertise in sourcing, warehousing, sales, branding and marketing.

ArchPoint will expand Watusee’s distribution footprint and introduce new products. It will also provide new positioning for the brand and develop a strong, omnichannel marketing.
