In Asia, the availability of the Dorì yellow kiwi is now a fact. Last week, the president of Dorì Europe, Giampaolo Dal Pane, participated in several events in Hong Kong supermarkets. Previously, he personally went to check the pallets loaded with produce delivered at the distribution centre.

Dal Pane explains, “It is amazing to promote an excellent produce: more customers get to know all the work behind it: from the people who created the variety, the nursery farmer, the producer, the packager, to the processing warehouse and finally the customer. There is an entire supply chain that runs through the world.

In Hong Kong supermarkets, where Dorì is available, customers highly appreciated the produce they could sample. The balance between the sour and sweet components, together with a beautiful colour and a tough and juicy pulp, easily convinced the customers of the goodness of our produce.

Dal Pane points out, “A container full of Dorì kiwis has been shipped in 5 different retail outlets and went sold out in a few days only. The produce remained good throughout the trip as it left Italy on the 12th October and it arrived on the 26th of November. Other containers are currently arriving in South Africa and Australia.

The price in the supermarkets is around 5-7 euros, depending on the MMRs’ chain. Our goal is to promote our produce and start 2019-2020 in the best way possible”.
