LGS Specialty Sales Ltd. (LGS), an importer and distributor of citrus, grapes, and avocados, is thrilled to announce that they are BRC certified. The company said they are one of the first in its category to earn this certification.
LGS said it sought the BRC certification due to its set of standards that are tailored to the company’s role within the supply chain. BRC certification is a more rigorous standard within the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), with LGS citing it is a good fit for their business model as an importer. As a certified company, BRC not only monitors LGS for compliance, but also verifies all of its suppliers for implementation of food safety and quality protocol.
