SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co., St. Simons Island, Ga., partnered with Budweiser, St. Louis, Mo., to launch a new line of beer-battered seafood products.

“We, along with Budweiser, take great pride in our commitment to creating memorable experiences for food and beverage lovers alike,” says Kristen Beadon, director of marketing at SeaPak. “The famous Budweiser lager beer taste is a natural fit with SeaPak’s tradition of high-quality, great-tasting seafood.”

These easy-to-prepare items come in the following varieties:

Beer Battered Shrimp, which are Best Aquaculture Practices-certified.
Beer Battered Cod, made with wild-caught cod fillet from a fishery that’s certified to Marine Stewardship Council standards.
Beer Battered Crab Poppers, made using wild-caught blue swimming crab, cheese and jalapeño peppers and comes with a Citrus Tartar Sauce. It’s also certified for sustainability by the National Fisheries Institute’s Crab Council.
“Seafood sustainability is a never-ending mission at SeaPak,” Beadon says. “Our goal is to deliver the highest-quality, most sustainable products available, conserve natural resources and drive positive change in the industry. That’s how you ensure delicious seafood can be enjoyed by generations to come.”

The new products are available at select retail locations, including Walmart and Kroger throughout the United States. The 9-ounce Beer Battered Shrimp, 12.5-ounce Beer Battered Cod and 11-ounce Beer Battered Crab Poppers boast a suggested retail price of $8.25. The 16-ounce Beer Battered Shrimp is accompanied by a Tangy Citrus Sauce for a suggested retail price of $10.30.
