Core Tip: Our sweet potato harvest season begins every year in late September before Frost Descends [October 23rd to November 7th, 2018] and we gradually enter our harvest into storage.
"Our sweet potato harvest season begins every year in late September before Frost Descends [October 23rd to November 7th, 2018] and we gradually enter our harvest into storage. Since the product quality is excellent and we have sufficient storage space, we can guarantee year-round supply." This is according to Zhang Lei of Shenyang Renhe Datong Trading Co., Ltd.

"We are currently selling this season's sweet potatoes, but market demand is not as strong as it was before Spring Festival [February 5th, 2019]. The main reasons for this development are as follows: first, consumers buy sweet potatoes and other agricultural products in gift packages during the Spring Festival period to give as presents to friends and family. As a result, market demand greatly increases during the festival period. Second, the end of this production season is in sight and the supply volume is limited."

"The market price of sweet potatoes increased. Sweet potatoes were quite cheap when this production season started, but the sweeter varieties are more difficult to keep in storage, so as the season unfolded, the price of sweet potatoes went up."

"Our organic sweet potato farm in Kangping County, Shenyang City, Liaoning, measures 100 hectares. The market situation is the same every year: demand exceeds supply. We sell our organic sweet potatoes through traditional retail channels in wholesale markets and supermarkets in first- and second-tier cities throughout China. As the sweet potato industry in China continues to mature, we hope to enter the international market."
