UK-based private equity firm The Foresight Group has made a ‘seven-figure’ investment in halal baby food manufacturer For Aisha.
Established by Mark Salter in 2015, For Aisha is the only company in the UK to offer halal baby food.
Its product portfolio includes baby food pouches and tray meals.
For Aisha stated that the funding received from The Foresight Group will be spent expanding its presence in the UK market and on marketing activities.
Salter said: “For Aisha is aimed at all parents who want to feed their children nutritious meals with real ingredients.
“We have a wide variety of meals on offer, from pouches, including Moroccan chicken tagine with apricots, and chicken dhal with lentils, to tray meals, including Cambodia fish and coconut curry, and green bean and lamb curry with lentils.
“They’ve been developed to help broaden the taste palates and the repertoire of little ones to encourage them to eat a wider variety of foods as they grow. The For Aisha range is halal and tayyib. Our recipes have been developed by a chef and dietician and include a delicious blend of spices and herbs so that they taste and smell great.”
All of For Aisha’s products are made using natural ingredients and are dairy and gluten-free.
Its products are available at all major supermarkets in the UK, as well as at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
