The Peruvian agroindustrial firm Virú S.A. has partnered with Mensajero Alimentos SL, a Spanish company based in Murcia and dedicated to the production and marketing of canned fruits, vegetables and sauces. Together they have formed Mensajero Virú, a new company that will specialize in the processing and distribution of canned artichokes in Murcia, Spain. Through this alliance, Virú aims to expand the supply and reduce the seasonality of its canned artichokes, positioning itself at the forefront of the market and consolidating its leadership worldwide.

"This merger will allow us to grow, create strategic synergies, not only in the exchange of knowledge, but also in technology and know-how transfer and process improvement," said Yoselyn Malamud, general manager of Virú. "We trust that Mensajero Viru will stand for innovation, high quality processes and premium products, and that this will allow us to continue growing and developing new opportunities to continue serving our customers with the service and quality we are known for," he said.
