MorningStar Farms, the vegetarian division of Kellogg’s, has expanded its plant-based Incogmeato range with the addition of vegan burger patties, Bratwurst and Italian sausage.
The burger patties will debut in the fresh meat case in March and will be rolled out to foodservice across the US in the coming months.
Both the patties and the sausage are ready-to-cook made with non-GMO soy and comprise 100% plant-based protein. The next-generation line has been developed to look, cook and taste like meat.
They’re launching ahead of BBQ season and promise to sizzle and behave just like real meat on the grill.
“Our Burger Patties, Original Bratwurst and Italian Sausage are the first of many new plant-based foods coming this year from Incogmeato so that people who are looking to sneak more plants on their plate can do so deliciously,” said Sara Young, General Manager, Plant-Based Proteins at Kellogg Company.
