According to Stephen Makinde, the clinical director of Perfect Balance Clinic, when it comes to aches and pains in the body, it might be smart to turn to the humble potato. Makinde claims the tuber could be just the thing to make a big difference to your body. The expert recently explained how the spud could help "reset" muscles which had been strained after being hunched over for long periods of time.
Standardmedia.co.ke quoted Makinde as saying: "The problem relates to the upper back posture. When you are looking at a screen, if your line of sight is in line with it then you are fine. But if you are looking down, which you do when working on a laptop, what tends to happen is the head starts to hang forward and that puts a lot of strain on the upper back. This can often cause a burning sensation in the trapezius muscles and affects other muscles in the neck, the spine and the nerves."
