Caldic Ingredients DACH is to become Cargill’s exclusive partner for the food industry in Switzerland as of January 1, 2022. The product portfolio includes Cargill’s starches, sweeteners and texturizers, as well as its cocoa and chocolate ingredients.

The collaboration will expand Caldic’s offering to customers in food sectors that include bakery, beverages, confectionery, dairy, nutrition and savory.

Caldic Ingredients Deutschland, part of the Caldic Group, delivers innovative and sustainable food solutions. The company says that it is well-positioned to extend its support to customers operating in the Swiss food industry.

The geographic extension of the collaboration builds on the partnership between Cargill and Caldic in Europe, with strong foundations in Germany, Austria, France, Italy and the Nordics.

“This partnership reinforces our growth strategy in Europe; the entry on the Swiss market completes Caldic’s fast and full deployment in the DACH region that started in Germany and Austria in 2020, and that has quickly grown ever since,” says Yves Maltête, managing director of Caldic Ingredients Deutschland.

“Cargill’s robust product portfolio coupled with Caldic’s agility, local presence and value-add solutions model will deliver great value for our Swiss customers. Partnering will enable us to leverage innovative opportunities for our customers and beyond.”

Franck Monmont, managing director for Cargill Starches, Sweeteners & Texturizers business in Europe, adds: “Caldic and Cargill’s shared focus on strategic partnerships, the customer-centric approach to doing business and the development of innovative solutions were central to the foundation of this new partnership, which will allow us to further expand within the Swiss food market.”
