Italian pasta brand, Pasta Plant, has launched two new ‘superfood’ non-wheat pastas created to help consumers eat healthily without compromising on taste or texture.

Made entirely from 100% organic ingredients including legumes, roots, greens and seeds, both the Proactive and Prosper pastas contain high levels of plant-based protein and low carbs, ideal for active lifestyles and healthy eating.

The plant-based recipe also means they’re gluten-free and suitable for vegans, but deliver all the taste and texture of traditional Italian pasta.

“As Italians, we love our pasta and wanted to find a way of enjoying our favourite food without all the unhealthy carbs so often associated with it,” explains Daniele Siro, CEO and chief ‘food alchemist’ at Pasta Plant.

“So we came up with our revolutionary plant-based pastas – super-healthy alternatives which enable pasta-lovers to enjoy the sensation of eating the real thing without the worry of feeling bloated or having to work out harder to get rid of the excess carbs.

“Nobody has both taste and tradition so deeply embedded in their DNA like Italians do, so we’re delighted to be able to bring our incredible pastas to the UK market!” he added.

“They’ve been well and truly tested on Italian palates and have passed our rigorous taste tests with flying colours. If you like pasta, you’ll love Pasta Plant!”
